However, as with any state, there are varying opinions and experiences when it comes to living in Washington. In this summary, we will take a look at some user reviews on bestplaces.net to gain insight into the pros and cons of living in Washington.

- "I love living in Washington! The natural beauty is unmatched and there is so much to do and explore here. The people are friendly and the cities have a great mix of urban and suburban areas. The only downside is the high cost of living, but for me, it's worth it." - Sarah D.

- "Washington is a great place to live if you love outdoor activities and mild weather. The job opportunities are also plentiful, especially in the tech industry. However, the traffic and housing prices can be a major downside." - John S.

- "I've been living in Washington my whole life and I have no plans to leave. The quality of life here is great, with good schools, low crime rates, and a strong sense of community. Plus, the food scene is amazing!" - Emily P.

- "I moved to Washington a few years ago and while I enjoy the natural beauty, I have to say the rain and gray skies can be a bit much. It's also a bit more expensive than I anticipated. However, the people are very progressive and open-minded, which I appreciate." - Mark T.

Overall, it seems like living in Washington offers many advantages, such as beautiful scenery, job opportunities, and a strong sense of community. However, some common downsides mentioned in the reviews include high cost of living, traffic, and weather. It doesn't get much closer to paradise than this in the states...at least in summer when the rain stops! :-) If you can weather the gray days, and you love the outdoors, it's a great place to live. The temps are comparatively nice and mild all year. Seattle is also one of the friendliest, loveliest cities i've known. My word of Read More

Well it can be dog eat dog, and you have to stay alert to keep up the pace and not get ripped off! However, crime hasn't been an issue for me. I can earn a comfortable living here and the weather, though rainy in the winter, is really beautiful when the sun Read More

Not how I thought it would be here...... - 7/10/2006
The weather is straight grey skies 90% percent of the year. Outside of Seattle area most of Washington is backwards and many of the people have missing teeth. Costs of living here are substantial compared to what you receive. The dining options here outside of seafood are very limited.
Also the roads in all of Washington are pretty badly designed, they are designed for locals only.

On the plus side, that one month a year when the sun comes out it is very pretty here, but beware because everyone comes out of their shell during that month so it will be impossible to get anywhere.

Western Washington is GREAT! - 7/7/2006
I have lived in Western Washington all my life and as an accomplished traveler, I have to say there is no place like home. Washington is the most beautiful of the 50 states by far. We have so much to do and see here. With more parks, lakes, mountains, and trails then you can visit. The scenery and greenery is unmatched. The people here are great too. We love our environment and it loves us, so it is very clean everywhere you go. The economy is booming with no end in sight which makes it a bit challenging to find affordable housing, but when you do be ready to make a 100% return in just a few years! With some of the worlds largest companies, such as Starbucks, Microsoft, Boeing, Dupont, Costco, Ikea, etc., calling the Seattle area home, it's no wonder the job market is great! Yes we get a little rain, but if thats what it takes to give us some of the best weather on the planet in the summer, we can deal. Come, you'll love it Read More
