Grape Creek, San Angelo, Tx.

Grape Creek is around 12 miles from San Angelo City Centre, off of Highway 87N. It is a mixed community of caucasians and hispanics which is not unusual for the area. The division boasts two schools, three convenience stores, two filling stations, a video store and the obligatory few churches. Leisure facilities are nil, but there are two sex toy/video shops within easy reach on the road to San Angelo.
Drugs and booze seem to be plentiful and the law seems oblivious to those concerns, sheriff's cars preferring to park at the convenience stores rather than patroling known drug areas.
It could be a relatively quiet neighbourhood, but the peace is regularly broken by the same small number of completely irresponsible adults, with children being moulded to become clones of the parents, so the prospects are not too great, and San Angelo certainly doesn't have adequate facilities to give mental treatment to these retards. Loose dogs roam the neighbourhood, the owners disclaiming any responsibility, loose children too, foul mouthed and abusive, some even allowed out to cause mischief long after midnight when normal children should be sleeping.
Perhaps it's a Texan thing, but neighbourliness doesnt exist here, it's dog eat dog, the few spoil it for the many and the law's hands are tied by rediculous State Laws of Civil Rights, it seems these nuisances have greater civil rights than those they abuse. It also appears acceptable that horses in number can be corraled right alongside a residential lot, once again it seems Texas Law has no regard for quality of life for families.
Grape Creek is regularly threatened with tornadoes, yet i do not know of one safe refuge, everyone heads to get under the highway bridge, which offers very little protection or none at all. Wake up Texas, tornadoes are going to be around forever, how about spending some of the oil revenue on safety for the citizens, i hate to think what would happen in a real live war, not a refuge to be found anywhere. (not sure if the State Governer has a bomb shelter).
To wrap up, if boringly flat dusty landscape with no transport links to anywhere, then Grape Creek could be a paradise for you.
