Over a 30 year career I have lived in 14 cities and towns, large and small, scattered all over the U.S., including Albany, and have visited many more. Albany is not perfect, but it certainly is the best and most pleasant place I've ever lived in. It is big enough to have most of the stores and amenities that larger places have but without the drawbacks of those places, such as frustrating traffic conditions. Even with such negatives as hot, humid summers, the great winter weather, super health facilities and wide, uncluttered boulevards make for a high quality of living. I miss it, and can't wait for retirement time to arrive so that I can locate permanently in Albany and once again enjoy the low-stress, laid back style of living that this community offers.
