Don't Make My Mistake

I've lived in many places in my life, from NYC and Salt Lake City to Los Angeles and Seattle and I've never lived in such an awful place. The town is mostly white and Christian, and they've shown a large amount of racism and religious predjudice, just from what I've experienced.
I won't get into the business about this town being 30 miles from the nearest Walmart ( give or take ), or that the few solid businesses here control the town and run every new business out on a rail before it even gets a chance to get a foothold, that the people here aren't especially friendly or even that the town smells horrible ( like mold and farm animals ). My biggest issue with Albany, Missouri is that there is absolutely no culture at all.
There are no museums, no plays, no theater at all, no concerts ( unless you count country music at the town festival once a year - and no, I'm not making that up ), they don't even have classes in anything. No pottery, no formal music, and the local theater only gets 1 movie a week that shows on Friday, Saturday and Sunday night.
Overall I've found myself offended and bored here, and while this may be ideal for some people, if you're looking for a cultural melting pot or an intellectual center, please look elsewhere.
