We're from Ventura County and would give anything to get back there. The people in South Orange county are self-absorbed, keep up with the Jones's brats. People in South Ventura County are much friendlier, more down to earth with just as low a crime rate and just as high income statistics (Moorpark, Thousand Oaks) with out the "I'm owed anything and everything I want" attitude. If VC had the commerce of OC for my profession, I'd be back there in a heartbeat! People in Aliso are rude - if you work in any kind of service industry, even if you make more money than they do, you are treated like a peon who is there just to service and be insulted by them. Same with Mission Viejo, Ladera Ranch, Coto De Caza, San Clemente, Laguna Beach, Newport Coast/Beach and Irvine. In way too many instances these are over-processed (physically, consumptively and personally) people. Wish I could move!

We could not wait to get out, we got out right as the market began to turn (whew), we agree with David as the majority of the neighbors were rude, could care less about privacy and just plain ugly. The children are brought up with a "GOD" given right to have everything given to them. Once we had our son we ran as fast as we could with out looking back,we moved to The Woodlands, TX which is a family friendly neighborhood were we know all of our neighbors and actually speak to them!!!!

Aliso Viejo is one of the most unwelcoming , cruel areas I have ever lived in. The neighbors are very mean trying to dominate when I can turn my outside hose on to water my plants, when I can turn my TV on, and where I should set my trash cans on the sidewalk. THEY SEEM TO BE HALLUCINATING AT THE FACT THEY ARE CONDO OWNERS AND SO NOT RULE COMMON AREAS, or my property for that manner. They are fake and phony, nosey with no integrity , and very combative about anything I do around my condo if it doesn’t coordinate with their preferences. I feel scared for my safety here and disheartened at how cruel people in this county are. I would recommend anyone with a kind heart to steer far far away from this geto place. It’s amazing how many mean people there are in the world. I wish I can move out ASAP. I love my place but my neighbors all stick together and try to make me feel left out and bad about myself because I don’t fit in with them and I don’t kiss their ugly asses. This is why people love animals.
