Augusta is the city that time forgot. It's quaint enough if you want to partake of the urban blight, social narrowness and seething racial resentment of the post-civil rights era of the mid-seventies out of historical curiosity, but it gets old pretty quickly when you have to experience it firsthand every day to make a living, like I did for 8 looong years. Borrowing from a couple of Southern colloquialisms, I'd have to say that Augusta is a rabbit hole you'd probably want to go down only once, and then not for a very long time, bless it's heart…
