My friend you should just move out of that hell hole like I did I moved up to the portland oregon metro area my self about two months ago and man I'm so happy that I finally escaped from that prision camp that I was living in called bakersfield. God that town sucks (bakersfield) I am a bay area native myself and how I ended up in bakersfield was a tradegy within it's self bakersfield is a city of nothing more then war mongers, church going freaks and right wing garbage who feel that they shouldn't have to pay taxes those people down in that city are so screwed up it's not even funny and if you live in bakerscrap you gain weight because there is nothing to do there but eat. I myself never used to spend any time there what so ever always used to be in LA myself at the end of the day that city is living in the stone ages and is anti gay all that is bad in life bakersfield has it someone should just nuke that town off the face of the earth move my friend just move before you go out of your mind like I nearly did and by the way I lived in that hell hole for about 10 years on and off. Come up to portland oregon life here is good yes it rains alot but the air is clean life is a lot slower no gangs at least not a massive number of them hell even the cops are well mannered hope you move soon best of luck to you.

Alex I have to agree with you. I have lived here over a year now and have made no connections here. It makes it very hard to adjust.
