Review of Ballwin, Missouri

St. Louis is not a nice place to live

I've lived in west county for 5 years. We have unfriendly neighbors, the church's are unwelcoming, the men here treat women like dirt. The police department is uncivilized. I did not go to high school here, so I will never fit in, the locals will make sure of this. I have been shown nothing but unkindness despite the fact that I tried to be friendly. I will never be nice to the people here again as they don't deserve it. The people who have family here, or went to high school here find it a great place, outsiders do not share this view. West county is very anti-social. If I want to be with friends or family I must fly home. I just returned to St. Louis from vacation, and the return made me sick.

Though I never had the same experience with neighbors, I have heard this from a few other non-native residents, It disappoints me to hear this. I'm sorry that you are having such a negative experience. If you lived in my subdivision in west county, you would be quite pleased. The homeowners here are warm and welcoming regardless of whether you are native to St. Louis. I have, however, had a similar experience in two west county churches.
