Review of Bangor, Maine

Best place I've ever lived

I have lived just outside of Bangor for four years. I came from the Seattle area and have lived in several states. I love it here. I have found people to be very friendly. Coming from the West Coast I was used to keeping a death grip on my purse and watching my back and I feel so safe here. There is so much beauty to see and much to do with a short drive. The cons would be there is little shopping, not nearly enough restaurants and no neighborhood pubs.

We are currently debating on a move from Seattle/Tacoma. Is it a difficult adjustment, moving to Bangor?

I would not do it. I have been away from Seattle/Tacoma for 5 years and now live in Bangor. We are trying to save money to move somewhere else where there is more for us as a family, but also for our children. There is nothing here for them here.
