Sadly, the town of Benavides has become an eyesore.Loads of trash line the streets and yards and homes are unkept.The children of Benavides have no recreational facilities since the pool has been closed for years.The football field that once gleamed of red and white colors has faded to pink and peeling.The community is weary of city council who get paid $300 per meeting and yield no results.ALL the streets are in MAJOR disrepair and if you are in need of a legal resolution by the judge you can gauge the outcome by who is in closer family relation.No one speaks up as the downtown area crumbles.Such a sad, depressing place.
