Review of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan

Westchester Village
Star Rating - 8/18/2010
Westchester Village, an approximately 1/2 square mile neighborhood in Bloomfield Township, is still the great value it was when we moved here 28 years ago. Home prices are affordable, we are 2 miles from downtown Birmingham (a good walk or an easy bicycle ride), the best public and private schools are all within walking distance, we have easy access to downtown Detroit (nothing to be afraid of folks - Detroit is a wonderful city that gets hard knocks from the national media), and we can walk to 2 grocery stores, Starbucks, a bakery, video rentals, pharmacy, and a local ice cream shop that has been in same spot 48 years. The pundits who say the suburbs are dead and Detroit is not worth a look clearly don't know or understand the people of Michigan or this metro area. Check us out - you won't be disappointed.
