I'll never be the same

I ended up in Boothbay because I found a little place to rent and needed to get away from a miserable life in CT. Ha, I just liked name and love Maine. In CT, I couldn't drive down the road without being tailgated. Say thank you to local clerks, they'd say nothing. I felt like I was in the land of the living dead. Then I found my way to Boothbay Harbor in the winter of 2015, Foster Cottages. David was one of the coolest people I've ever had the privilege of meeting.
The months that followed restored my faith in man, and I tell you the odds were against that. The town was full of some of the finest people I've ever met. They'd give you the simple smile no matter how worn out you looked, no matter how you dressed, you were there among them and that seemed to be the bond. You be respectful and drive slow, and they'll welcome you like long lost friend......
I'll forever be sorry I had to leave. The harbor calmed me, the air was enchanting and the wildness kept me alive. God bless Boothbay Harbor, and every soul that lives there.
