Relocating out of CA

We reside in the Central Valley (modesto region) and would like to relocate out of CA where the cost of living would allow us to live, not 400,000 + for a regular house and not have to commute 200+ miles a day to job in order to have affordable/livable communities to raise our children, where housing is
