Review of California, California

I can't breath

I have lived in southern California (Burbank area) all my life (38 years). I am so tired of the smog and bad air. I really want to move out BAD, but I am not sure where. I am thinking of Portland, OR or Raleigh, NC. If anyone has any experience with either of the two places above, please feel free to give me advice.
