Review of Cape Girardeau, Missouri

cape no way
Star Rating - 11/26/2005
although the town is relative small, it is very problematic for african americans. that's right, blacks do not have a say in government-let alone anything else. unless you are a doctor or lawyer, do not come to cape. please stay away.

Cape is only problematic if you make it that way. We have a fair amount of well educated blacks in town who are very successful. Skin color doesn't dictate your say in government or anything else. The truth is, it is a very conservative town politically. If you are not conservative, regardless of skin color, you won't have much political clout. This is no different than not being a liberal in most large cities or most of the Northeastern US in general. Most people in Cape Girardeau have a high regard for hard working individuals, and would support an African American in politics if they are Republican. It si politics, not racism.
