Review of Charleston, South Carolina

Anyone moved to Charleston from San Diego, CA?

My husband and I live in San Diego, CA and are looking for a place to move that is cultural, educated, full of the arts, has great people and very friendly. We have lived in San Antonio, TX, Pensacola, FL and Seattle, WA so we are used to adjusting to fast and slow paced areas. Anyone move from CA to SC and have comments on the experience? Or does anyone want to share their feelings about SC? We would love your input.
Also, we are a mixed couple. Will that be a problem in SC?

Just don't. It has none of that stuff. Sorry about the grammar. I grew up in a barn, but the first semblance of a sentence sums it up. Let me reiterate, just don't. It's a li'l fn s'hole.
