In 2008 Chattanooga's population was estimated @ 170,880. According to this website it states 2009 has an estimated population of 169,884. As a resident of Chattanooga I don't see how the population could decline. We've had many new multi unit apt complexes built, many houses, many townhomes/condos, etc.. I don't even know where this population info came from because 2009 isn't even on the Census' website. I'll wait until the end of 2010 to find out the TRUE population which I know will bust 182K people in the city. Maybe even more due to Volkswagen.
