Review of Chesapeake, Virginia

Any info please
Star Rating - 7/29/2006
My husband and I are seriously considering a move to the Newport News area. I am wondering if Chesapeake is too far of a commute. We currently live outside of Detroit and we need to get out. The job market is terrible. I have read comments about the areas around Newport and its seems Chesapeake has the best reputation from everyone's comments on this site. Is rent expensive in Chesapeake? I have seen several homes for rent in the 1800-2400 range and that is out of my league. Any info is appreicated.
