Review of Clarkton, North Carolina

Clarkton NC-Loving Small Town Living!
Star Rating - 1/4/2018
Clarkton, a small town located down east in North Carolina, is a "sleeper" for real estate investors and people seeking a better quality of life for rearing their children. Not to be confused with the values of big cities, Clarkton boasts of good people
an a caring community. People will want to get to know you but also are "Southern manners trained"to provide you plenty of privacy, if that is your choice.
Located inland from the Carolina Coast by about 50 miles, many stunning beaches are accessible within an hour. Two natural lakes are located within 20 miles for water recreation, camping, cottage rentals and/or permanent living.

Real estate prices are attractive now but will be rising in next 5 to10 years as neighboring counties of Brunswick, Columbus and New Hanover increase and working folks discover the joys of small town living. Commuting to neighboring Fayetteville NC and Wilmington NC is an hour's drive either way on uncongested highways.

Healthcare facilities are plentiful and practitioners really care!

Two good community colleges are located within 20 miles.

The weather is mostly great. Snowfall and cold weather are rare. Tennis and golf can be played practically all year long except a few days in January or February. Golf courses are both public and "members only"
In either case, green fees are a bargain!

Gardens are Lush, porches are prevalent, random neighborly visitin' is still permitted and a hug is not rare!

Wonderful non-frenetic public and private airports located within 10 to 50 mileswill take you anywhere in the world you want to go!

Yes, if you have a private plane, we have hangars near by.

Pets are loved! So are kids! Churches are abundant offering activities for both Seniors and Milleneals starting families.

Crime is moderate. Two police officers are assigned to the area.

Clarkton's best days are ahead as the town reinvents its downtown. This is a great time to discover the value of Clarkton before it is too late.
