Review of Eau Claire, Wisconsin

Eau Claire
Star Rating - 7/14/2008
I love living here in Eau Claire, housing is cheap, we bought a house here for 69,000 (8 years ago) that would have cost us $150,000 in Milwaukee with a 5x smaller yard. Probably not the smartest thing to do but we didn't have locks on our doors for about 2 years after we bought the house. The neighborhood is quiet, very nice neighbors and close to grocery stores, the mall and restaurants. We lived in Milwaukee for about 20 years and I can't believe I stayed that long. Don't get me wrong for a big city Milwaukee was for the most part pretty nice but I love the fact that here I can be hiking or camping within 15 minutes of Eau Claire. And no ozone alerts, ever!!!! If I ever miss the big city, the Twin Cities is only an hour away.
