Eugene is the best city i've lived in. Incredible outdoors opportunities,
people are very friendly on the whole. The rain can get to some people, winters are a bit dreary. Spring, summer and fall are gorgeous. Cost of living is reasonable. Realestate has gone up pretty quickly, 15-18%, for the last 3 years which might make it more difficult for first time buyers. Excellent city parks. Bike friendly, bike lanes throughout town, bicycle and walking trail connects west and north eugene with downtown.
cons:Pretty safe, some homeless teenagers hang around downtown. Bike theft is prevalent by the university. competitive job market.
