Grew up in Fargo/Northern MN area and was there 29 years. It’s cheap to live, tons of things to do in the summer. But 3-6 months of the year you more than likely will have snow. A few of which will get to -20° With windchills of -40°. During those times, there’s not much to do. The bar scene is fun for about a week? But the people are nice-ish, there’s tons of work, and it’s extremely cheap to live.
