Florence rates high in liveability because it has warm winters and no snow. Check the inches of rain and number of sunny days- that will tell it all. You'd better be a fan of gloom and doom. Yes it has all that wonderful fishing, hiking and outdoorsy stuff, but it also has weeks of nonstop rain and no sun. If you like to hibernate then perhaps you can get through all that. I've lived here 22 years and the weather is very trying.
