Ive lived in Fort Walton for atleast 15yrs.Ive seen the good days(early to late 200's)and now the bad.If you move here,youd better make atleast $10,000 a month.These leasees want 3 to 5 times the rent and expect near perfect credit.This isnt the place for hopes and second chances.The cost to rent is way more since I first moved here.Its pretty safe except for the shootings that happen once in a blue moon.As long as youre not part of that life,youll be fine.Theres not a lot to do here but,it is a pretty place.Theres plenty of homeless though,a lot in part to themselves and the housing situation.
