Inexpensive living
Pretty good schools
Low Crime
Lots of sunshine and warmth
Great Mexican/Tex-Mex
Jobs
Growth (lots of new construction)
Very nice people
Nearby Dallas offers a change of pace
Cons:
Lack of community (since you have to drive everywhere)
Bad Traffic (because growth without planning)
NO public transportation
Bicycle Unfriendly
Minimal natural beauty
Everything far apart
Lack of history compared to northern US
Lacking in Higher Education opportunities
Bad sprawl
Not progressive
