It's not as it portays itself

Grand Haven has a lot of growing up to do. It is polarized: Primarily white, republican, and strongly religious. This wouldn't be good or bad if they weren't intolerant. Beach erosion has been ignored for years and now they are homes falling into the lake. It has a poor record of legal due process (I refer to a review of the Ottawa County courts by the National legal Aid and Defender Association). There isn't much to do in the winter for many people, and there are no places to downhill ski. In the summer the lake is warm between 3-4 mos. out of the year. There are times it can be 90 deg. outside with the lake water a mere 50 or 55 deg. There is not so much as a community college and they have minimal job opportunities. Not very self reliant. How they somehow are portrayed as the little darlings of West Michigan is beyond me.
