I grew up the a w.a.s.p.y, yuppie and old money suburb of Detroit called Grosse Pointe which every "big" city has at least one of. Yet I've come to find over time that G.P. for some reason is well known by many people across the country- which is odd because like I said every city has one of these type of suburbs. Anyway I now live in a city that's "between" there and Detroit. It seems to consist of the African-American people trying to get out of Detroit and the "white" people who can't quite afford to live in G.P. Anyway I've been trying to get out of "Detroit" my whole life and will never stop trying thanks to all the commnets about how much more some places really have to offer. Like a differnet aproach to life then just being in a "rat race", (being compettitive about every little superficial thing), as well as cultural diversity, openness to change, and accepting other people for who they are as a person and just by what their status in society is, well I'm sure some people will find this interesting, goodbye.
