I have lived in Healdsburg, CA for 24 years & watched a lovely country town turn into a snob magnet like you have never seen. It is heartbreaking. Our dining choices consist of $100-$300 tabs for 2 or greasy tacos....it is absolutely ridiculous. Our darling downtown Plaza is now full of drunk tourists walking in circles, looking at our over-priced menus & shops, wondering what they are doing here. Forget trying to own a home here...$500K for a shack "near the lovely downtown plaza" Whatever...we are so over it.
