North Carolina Great But...

Currently living in Charlotte area. Moved from Long Island NY. Cost of living is cheaper and people are very friendly in Charloote. Some major drawbacks are the way people drive down here very slow, very, very cautious. It's very aggravating. Basically Sunday drivers everyday. Oh and there is a lot of traffic down here from 2pm - 6pm stay off the roads. The infrastructure needs a major upgrade ie: more lanes. Also a lot of trucks which drive in all lanes unlike NY they can only drive in the right or middle lane.

Nice place to live. Great climate. Lots of new construction. Great amenities and restaurants to choose from, and Charlotte isnt far. The recent influx of newcomers is great for making new friends, everyone looking to settled in and establish connections.

I moved from Long Island to get away from the aggressive crazy LI drivers so the "Sunday drivers everyday" is a definitely bonus. It was 28 years ago and it needs to remain the same here. People have loved ones INSIDE and out side of those cars - so driving cautiously is a positive thing. If its aggravating then go back to insane Long Island Expressway driving that kills people every day.
