Underrated.

This town along with the county and region this town is found is among my favorite locations of the USA. I will go on to say that the city of Jackson and SW Alabama in general, are terribly under-rated in as far as the livability of this area in comparison to several areas of the nation that are ranked as being great places to live.
Positive attributes of this city and region include friendly people, a low cost of living, an abundance of water, plentiful opportunities for outdoor activities, a lack of over development, or urban sprawl , an interesting climate along with the varied biodiversity made possible by that climate.
