Hell on earth

Yup, I have been stranded here in Lancaster since '89. First because right after we purchase our house the market dumped. Now because there are no buyers. You think you are moving here for your children, but is the pits for them. You can get a big new house for little money, but you will grow to hate it. When your kids grow after they have been sick with every respiratory disease known to man. There are no meaningful jobs for them. The best you can do is send them away to college as far from here as possible in hopes that they will make a life there. I am one of the lucky ones who does have a good job here, but my spouse has to drive 3 hours a day for his. He hates the communte and sometimes says it is so easy to fall asleep as you drive because the scenery is awful and dull. This town is not even fit to die in. Stores move in build large buildings and when they fail, they end up vacant. Someday I plan to sell and get out of here. Unless the dust that is an inch thick on all my furniture even after cleaning gives us Valley Fever. Do yourself a favor pay more and look elsewhere.
