Lawton is one of the best places to live for the following reasons: The cost of living is much cheaper than in most parts of the country. Rent and gas is cheap. Home prices are reasonable. The temperature year around is better than in most parts of the country. Winters are mild and summers are not near as hot as Phoenix and Las Vegas. Within a short distance there are beautiful mountains and lakes. The area has casinos, malls, golf courses, fine restaurants, bars, clubs, universities, hospitals, big beautiful parks, and even a museum. There are plenty of jobs and an economy that is stable. It's also only an hour and a half away from Oklahoma City in case you want to spend a Saturday at the zoo or a museum there.
