Although Lawton is now close to 100,000 in population, which includes the military post housing, its politics remain more like a small town. The "good old boy" system is still alive and well.

The thing I hate most about Lawton is that there is a huge network of evil and corruption. People are nosy and stuff gets around quick there. A few people including my mother has stated the town is cursed. I have known a few people to have claimed to practice witchcraft in this town.
