People tend to make jokes about this part of the US. While dull may not be a good personality trait, it has some positive aspects for a city. It is relatively quiet here. Crime is relatively low. Lincoln is a good place to raise children. The quality of the schools are very good. Each neighborhood has a nice park. It is easy to get around town, especially when compared to larger urban areas on the east and west coasts. There are enough cultural activities to keep one busy during the week and on weekends. The Ross Film Theater shows first rate foreign and art house films. The Lied Center for the Performing Arts draws good crowds with a variety of different shows appealing to a broad range of people. Lots of good restaurants. Life is easy here.
