Review of Lompoc, California

Crime in Lompoc
Star Rating - 2/15/2010
There is a lot of crime in Lompoc, California. Not only crimes such as drugs, gangs, murder, shootings, etc, but a lot of property crimes such as people storing tons of junk cars, trucks, boats, motor homes, campers, etc on their front lawns which is illegal and makes the neighborhood look terrible. They store this junk on the streets, too. And they store basketball hoops in the streets and they play basketball all day long in the streets with their children and grandchildren. This is not only illegal and a danger to people but it very annoying to hear the basketballs bouncing all day long and everyone running around and screaming and yelling. People have a lot of other violations such as fences that are too high and sheds that are too close to the property line, etc. They park in red zones and on the wrong side of the street and there are hundreds of vehicles with no front license plate which is illegal and no one seems to do anything about any of this. The police and everyone else just drive by all this stuff and do nothing. They want you to turn these people in before they will do anything and make you put your name, address, phone number, etc on the complaint form but this could just lead to those people trying to hurt you and committing crimes against you and your property.

Do you just wait for the town to pass another ordinance just so you can make a complaint? Too high of a fence? I bet it is YOURS, obliviously you hate your neighbors! Playing Basketball? Would you rather they had a keg party?

Wait til someone starts catching cockroaches and putting them in various places like maybe your apartment complex or your house or your restaurant or something because of all the injustice in Lompoc.
