Why I live in Silicon Valley - Greater Bay Area

For almost 24 years my family and I have lived in what's commonly called, "Silicon Valley". It is the home to major technology companies like Apple, HP, Oracle, VMWare, LinkedIn, Google and many mre almost too numerous to mention.
Life here is good. The education systems are unequaled and it is home to 3 great universities, Stanford, UC Berkeley and Santa Clara University.
The area is also dotted with wineries and tourism is the second industry with San Francisco being the destination for almost all who come here.
We also are home to major sports franchises like the : SF 49'rs, Oakland Raiders, SF Giants, Oakland "A"'s and the San Jose Sharks.
It's a fairly large area and as such, also has more than its fair share of traffic issues. But its not as bad as LA, or DC and NYC.
It never snows and it hasn't rained in two years to speak of. The sun is mostly out except for SF where the fog generally rules, but that's why it is so popular.
Come for a visit - and stay awhile.
