Boston Native

I was born and raised in Massachusetts. I have positives and negatives that I can say about this state. What I will say is that if you don't like the cold then don't move here! It gets cold in the winter. The problem isn't even the low temps it's the wind chill. Since Boston is located right on the coast when that wind starts to blow it will feel about 20 degrees colder than what it really is. In the summer it does get hot and humid! Really humid! So if you are concerned about your hair - it will frizz! As for the people, there is a reason why Boston is known as the rudest city in the country. I have done my share of travelling around the U.S. and I will admit that the people here are pretty rude. Not everyone but a good percentage are. If anything you should worry about the drivers. The drivers here (including myself) are very agressive. You have no other choice to be, people will not think twice about cutting you off on the road. On top of that Boston is also very expensive. The cost of living rises every year so it is very expensive to afford a place on your own. If you are a student or you are looking to work in the healthcare industry then this is the place that you should consider moving too! Hospitals and Universities are everywhere. We are the home of MIT and Harvard as well as hundreds of other colleges. All in all Boston is a nice place to live in if you can afford it.
