Midland is a community of about 100,000 people. Its friendliness with each other as well as visitors is legend. Midland is the major center of oil and gas activity west of Houston. This fact results in a major business atmosphere with all of the benefits of small town life. This small town has a state of the art hospital, performing arts center and an international airport to name a few of the amenities. Scenery is desert influenced and is usually an initial drawback for people seeking to settle here. However, if you get the sand in your shoes over a year or two, you won't want to call any other place "Home."
