A wonderful place to live in the world

We moved to Morganton in 2014 and love this town/area. The natural beauty in the Catawba Valley is astounding. Mountains, rivers, and beautiful trees are everywhere. The weather is wonderful, a bit hot in summer and cool in winter, but essentially no snow or bad roads. The town is growing, new restaurants, breweries, shopping, and a new NC School of Math and Science being built to start in a year or two. The parks are nice and the Greenway, along the Catawba River, the nicest walking/biking trail we have used in our lifetime. People are friendly and helpful, like most small towns. A traffic jam is 10 cars at a light, thought rare. This is a safe town, very low crime.
