Will be transplanting from the suburbs of Philadelphia and have visited Morganton on our way to Asheville/Hendersonville. It is close to take in what Asheville has to offer but yet found a very nice town and nice people at the Chamber of Commerce to speak with. If anyone has suggestions as to what surrounding areas to look into to live, please let me know. We are looking forward to getting away from the northeast mentality and enjoying a much more relaxed paced lifestyle.
