Nashville has a lot of restaurants, clubs and culture. Its way more affordable than the north. We came from Connecticut.
Historic neighborhoods are being restored and condos are flying up all over the inner city. Crime is an issue especially in East Nashville as well as pockets of other areas.
Look outside the city proper and into the surrounding counties, unless you are a devoted urbanite. Nice homes with ¼ -5 acres can still be had in about a 40 mile radius around the city.
ps 24 south is a traffic nightmare and you will need central air and access to a swimming pool for ½ the year no matter where you are, and buy a bug light.
