One of the hidden gems

I've lived all over the country: LA, Boston, Milwaukee, Iowa...and I have to say that Nashville is a hidden gem. You need to get beyond the country music cliches. The city is a musical hub, and that means everything from rock and roll to the symphony. You can see Evlis Costello playing on the Grand Ole Opry or witness Neil Young singing "Sweet Home Alabama" at Tootsies. Music folks don't care much about boundaries, so you'll find all sorts of interesting things going on. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from, including upscale places and down home joints. The city is growing fast, and that means new restaurants are opening up all the time. The best part is the city is growing ethnically, so you can finally enjoy authentic Mexican, Vietnamese, Korean, Thai etc.
