Great city!

Nashville is a great place to live. I lived there for over 25 years and currently (unfortunately for me) am living in Houston TX.
Nashville is nice sized city. Not too big and not too small. Like all cities Nashville has it problems with crime and trash. But I wouldn't say that it is overly crime ridden or overly trashy.
Aside from the obvious (the country music scene), Nashville has a lot to offer. Great restaurants, shopping, nice parks, and a fair amount of history. Also, all types of musicians seek out Nashville, not just country music stars.
Nashville has great restaurants as well. From southern cooking to large chinese buffets.
Traffic is not the greatest right now as they seemed to be doing some kind of construction on all the major highways. But for the most part traffic is not that bad. Not too sure about the public transportation but they do not have a rail system in place.
Night life is always pretty jumping. Not too sure about the whole club scene but there are plenty to choose from.
Nashville's Climate is mild. Warm summers range from 94 to cold winters down to the teens and below. Nashville does not get much snow. Enough to coat the ground and on occassion, to make a snow man and sled. Nashville gets mainly ice and sleet and when they do get snow or sleet, it tends to shut down the city. Nashville also has vibrant colors during the fall and you can expect that cold crisp air during that time of year.
People are very nice in Nashville but if you're from New York and you move to Nashville.. People in Nashville are not in a big hurry. Fast talking New Yorkers will get frustrated at easy going Nashvillians.
I loved my time in Nashville. I grew up there and consider it home. Actually if Nashville is not your taste, you can try Franklin which is about 15 miles South of Nashville. Franklin has a small town feel with a big town amenities. Nashville is great city that is not too big and not too small.
