Great place to retire.

If you have the $ and like the funk, NOLA is a great place to retire. The colleges are excellent, the food is really good, the music scene is exciting, the architecture is exquisite, and the street cars are running again. I've done the NYC and CA thing, made enough $, and now enjoy working out at Tulane's gym, taking a course in the history of religion, eat out all the time, and when things get slow or I need a change, its off to South America. I have never seen any crime but like everwhere do know someone who was a victim before Katrina. Katrina was the best thing that ever happened to this place. A through cleansing. A new opportunity for growth.
