Not tolerantance of outsiders moving in

I have lived outside of the Village for 15 years and have owned property here for 25 years. Taxes are high, low on services. I often find that doing business here is very difficult if your not a native, born and went to school here. You can wait a week to get a flat tire fixed and pay the tourist price (near the Tahquamenon Falls) if not native. I drive 160 miles round trip to buy food in Sault St. Marie. A quarter of the population is locked up in a state prison. Another half of the population is on food stamps and drugs. Only 1 escape from the prison in the last several years, as the weather and country will chew you up, if not properly dressed summer or winter. Lots of junk old houses and mobile homes. Can be very peaceful living outside of town with the deer, bear, and the moose.
