Review of Newport Beach, California

best place to live if you can afford it
Star Rating - 11/29/2006
We love it here but the cost of living is out of control. The area and proximity to all activities is unbeatable but you definately pay for it. sun, ocean, shopping, recreation, culture is all available with in an hour. Access to travel is within 15 min and skiing in the local mountains is within 2 hours.

I agree with all of that, but you also have to be able to endure the fake, plastic people. I guess that is what you get when you have an expensive place to live.
