High Crime Racists People living here

We moved to the Hampton Roads area 5 years ago and now regret it. We do live in a nice neighborhood in Yorktown, but the surrounding areas are terrible, like NN and Hampton. A lot of crime for a small city this size for capita of people and I never saw such racists people in my life. ALso, if you are from the North... You have a a lot of adjusting to do. I believe NC,SC or anywhere after that is better and the people here are not friendly at all. Also, we have never experienced the worst drivers than Hampton Roads and you realize it when you leave and then come back here.Plus, only if you are retired military or have your own business, can you can a decent living here, they do not pay much.
I wish we knew more before we moved here but plan to leave as soon as we can....
