We have just moved here. We basically live on the Edmond border. So far, I've noticed a high crime rate in parts of the city. The quality of the roads is horrible. I must admit that there is more to do here than I anticipated.

You are a proud TEXAN (only state in the union to be a republic) and your opinion is understandable. You find whatever it is you seek. Oklahoma and Texas are brother states. I have lived in both states. I was happy in both. Texas is great but so is Oklahoma.
