Finally found the Orlando I was looking for...

I have lived in Orlando for years and have seen quite a few changes. Yes, crime is on the increase and it is more violent. It must be addressed for all of the citizens. But it is all relative for a native Bostonian. Yes there are a lot more cars on the road. But this seems to be a complaint for nearly all of my friends and relatives all over the country (from Portland, OR, Charlotte, NC, Manchester, NH, Phoenix, AZ, etc). To my point...I just moved to Lake Nona - the extreme Southeastern corner of Orlando. It is paradise in Central Florida. Treelined streets, lots of great places to walk, neighbors you get to know and who actual wave and say "hi", very, very limited traffic. The best part? Kids actually playing in the playgrounds and backyards. I feel like I went back 30 years to the suburbs of Boston. Don't give up on Orlando until you have checked out Lake Nona.
