Air conditioning all year round

I like the aspects of a big city. Florida is called the "Sunshine State" for a reason, and while many retirees flock here to retire because of the warm temperatures; I feel it is becoming increasingly too warm. For the second winter in a row(it is now January) and my air conditioner still runs almost every day with at least 80% humidity and temperatures well above the 70's and into the 80's every week. I too, loved the warm weather but I can't even enjoy it because it's just too unbearable!
